A MyCiti bus was set alight in Du Noon around 7am on Saturday, 20 June. Fire services responded and put out the flames, no casualties have been reported.
Fire services from Milnerton and Brooklyn were escorted by police to Potsdam Road where they put out the fire by 7:50 am.
“No passengers were found to be on the bus,” said Jermaine Carelse from City Fire and Rescue Service.
The bus, Bus E203 of TBrT, had allegedly been emptied of passengers before it was set alight, according to Angus McKenzie, Ward Councillor for Bonteheuwel.
