The Silo is the newest five star luxury hotel to open in Cape Town, and staying there will cost you a pretty penny. Business Tech reports the hotel is scheduled to open to in March 2017 at the historic silo complex at the V&A Waterfront. Starting prices to stay at The Silo is 12 000 per night and the penthouse suite will go for as much as R140 000 per night during peak times. The rest of the year the penthouse will go for R90 000 – R110 000 per night.
The Silo Hotel is part of the Royal Portfolio group of hotels, which includes the The One Above, La Residence in Franschhoek and Birkenhead House in Hermanus. There latest hotel will be an exclusive, sophisticated complex that will take up six floors of the the grain elevator portion of the Silo complex. It will be above the highly anticipated Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa.
The hotel will have 28 rooms, each with its own design. In addition to the Penthouse, there are Family suites for R26 000 – R40 000, Deluxe Superior for R18 000 – R29 500, Superior Rooms for R16 800 – R27 500 and Luxury Rooms R13 000 – R21 500. All the rates will include breakfast, a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival and access to the hotels fitness and spa facilities.
