Eskom has announced on Friday, November 12 that it has no intention of implementing loadshedding at the weekend. The turnaround comes after South Africans were hit with several stages of loadshedding this past week.
According to the power utility although some of its generating units are still at risk there is no need for power cuts as it has already had a major impact on businesses, matric exams and households. Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter indicated during a media briefing on Friday that there are just under 900 megawatts at risk of an immediate trip, however, Eskom has utilised its overnight excess generating capacity to augment, EWN reports.
Eskom is currently NOT loadshedding.

One of those threats came from the EFF’s KwaZulu-Natal leader Vusi Khoza who took to Twitter to ask citizens for the home addresses of De Ruyter and Public Enterprise Minister Pravin Gordhan. However, the tweets were deleted by Twitter violating its rules.
All those who recently voted @MYANC must never complain about load shedding. It serves you well. You ANC voters are a problem here, bloody swines.#Azikhale #ZiyakhalaManje
