Cape Town police are investigating the murder of an off-duty policeman that was killed in Langa on Saturday, November 13. According to police, gunmen opened fire on a taxi in Jungle Walk in Langa, killing two people including the officer.
Police spokesperson Andre Traut said the 28-year-old constable who is stationed at the Delft Police Station, was off-duty at the time of the incident. Traut said the motive for the attack on the victims is yet to be determined as police are yet to make an arrest.

Police were also deployed to the scene of another double murder on Saturday where armed suspects broke into a house in Driftsands and shot three people. According to reports, a 40-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman succumbed to their injuries while another woman sustained a gunshot wound to her leg.
Meanwhile, S=seven people have been arrested on charges related to the possession of firearms, business robbery and dealing in liquor across Cape Town over the weekend.
