One of Knysna’s most well-known boats, the Paddle Cruiser, appears to have sprung a leak during the night, and was found to be steadily sinking in the morning.

“We have our team investigating and as we had no passengers on board overnight there are no injuries or casualties,” Featherbed Management said. “The Featherbed Management and team as well as NSRI has the situation under control and we will update as soon as we are able to.”

The Paddler Cruise is well-known for its lunch-time cruises, and is viewed as a permanent fixture in the area, it is also South Africa’s only paddle-driven vessel.

There is not yet any information on when the boat will be back in service, but Featherbed Co has advised that locals keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.
