A group of parents and caregivers gathered outside Eastville Primary School in Mitchell’s Plain on Monday morning to demand answers following allegations that a School Governing Body (SGB) member and volunteer exposed herself to learners, Cape {town} Etc reports.
The woman is accused of teaching learners a sexually explicit song and making inappropriate remarks about children’s private parts.
According to Smile FM, the allegations sparked immediate outrage within the school community, with a wave of voice notes and messages circulating among parents.
One mother, who requested anonymity to protect her son, told the station that her child reported being touched and threatened with consequences if he spoke out.

The Western Cape Education Department confirmed it has opened an investigation and said counselling support will be made available to any affected learners.
The Cape Argus reports that Mitchells Plain SAPS registered a crimen injuria case and said police are investigating the circumstances, although no arrests have been made.
In a video interview by Cape Argus, a parent says, ‘And so they explained to me that the way she speaks to them with foul language in the classroom, swearing, big ugly words, throwing the other children with desks and textbooks and displaying her private parts, which is obviously closed, but still, she’s displaying the private parts in the learners’ faces.’
Authorities asked anyone with relevant information to come forward so investigators can establish a clear account of events and protect vulnerable learners.
Parents said they will continue to press the school and authorities for transparency and timely resolution.
