The other body is believed to be William Peterson, a known associate of Jaggers.
Both men went missing at the Emperor’s Hotel in Gauteng in early July, following a botched drug deal involving a 700kg cocaine shipment that disappeared off the coast of the Western Cape.
A Colombian cartel, involved in the deal alongside the Bulgarian mafia, demanded a R50 million ransom after their disappearance.
The bodies were found three months later, showing signs of torture.
News24 reported that Jaggers’ wife, Shawaal Jaggers, reportedly travelled to Johannesburg to identify the body.
This was further confirmed by Free State police spokesperson Captain Loraine Earle in a report by The Daily Maverick.
