The weather that has been wreaking havoc across the Cape this week has left the property of non-profit organisation Pit Pals in ruins.

Owners say that although the storm wrecked some of their kennels and other parts of the property, no animals or humans were hurt during the incident.

Cape Town-based organisation Pit Pals is responsible for re-homing almost 400 Pit Bulls and other power breeds over the last three years through their work.

A team are already on their way to begin repairing some of the kennels but Pit Pals says it is a serious emergency and that they need to repair the property as soon as possible.

The need for repair cannot be denied and Pit Pals is in desperate need of financial support in order to carry the cost of the repairs.

“We are still assessing the damage and very hard to tell what it will cost us overall to repair, any donation is HUGELY appreciated and will help. Every bit helps, so even if you want to support us with R5, please do, we can’t do it alone,” said Pit Pals on their Facebook page.
