Michael John Latsky (43) has been missing from the Somerset West area since May 14, and police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information on his whereabouts.

He was last seen leaving his home in Somerset West on his bicycle at 5pm, and it is believed that he was on his way to Gordon’s Bay. An avid cyclist, he was last seen dressed in a pair of black cycling shorts, along with a black and blue cycling top. He was also wearing a pair of black cycling shoes, and a grey cycling helmet.

His bicycle was recovered from the Gordon’s Bay whale lookout point and returned to his family, but Latsky himself has not yet been found.

Search parties have been active since his disappearance.

According to Detective Sergeant Isaacs, who is the investigating officer from the Somerset West police station, the search for Latsky is ongoing, but little new information is forthcoming.
