Police seek person of interest in Mfuleni murder after Western Cape Provincial Serious and Violent Crime detectives appealed for public help following a deadly shooting in Driftsands, Mfuleni, where one of the suspects was seen filming the attack, reports Cape {town} Etc.
The attack happened on 21 February at about 9:30pm, when two friends were waiting for food at a spaza shop on the corner of Duif and Langeni streets.

According to SAPS, an unknown faded silver-brown Datsun seven-seater stopped at the café before three unidentified men got out and opened fire.
The statement said the victims were ‘randomly shot at them’, with one man hit in both legs and assaulted by a suspect, while the other was shot in the head and upper body.
Police also said a second unidentified male was ‘busy recording the whole ordeal and shouting at the gunman to shoot’. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where one was ‘declared deceased on arrival’. The other victim received treatment.
The suspects fled in the same vehicle. Detectives later gathered surveillance footage from the area and identified a man they believe is a ‘person of interest’ who may assist the investigation.
‘We are very traumati[s]ed about what happened to Litha, who was a God-fearing young man. A young man who wanted to perfect his Maths and go and study at university next year. Now it is all a dream which he will never reali[s]e because they took his life away. Litha was shot in the head five times, and his friend was shot twice in both legs,‘ one of Litha’s church leaders told MDN News.
