The South African Police Service (SAPS) are appealing to the public for help in finding a wanted man believed to be involved in a murder that occured in Kenilworth back in 2017.

In a statement, SAPS said they are urgently searching for 24-year-old Salaheldin Mohamed Helan Hussein Elhaddad, an Egyptian citizen who speaks fluent English and Arabic. He is approximately 1.6 meters tall and light of complexion.

“He is wanted in connection with a murder which occurred on 30 May 2017 at Three Fountain Flat, Greenfield Road, Kenilworth, Claremont, and a warrant of arrest was issued,” explains SAPS. “It is suspected that he can be in Newfields, Athlone area or Gauteng Province.

Police urge anyone who can assist in finding the suspect to kindly contact the investigation officers at the Claremont SAPS Tracing Team Detective Warrant Officer Quintin Matthee 082 4611115 and Detective Sergeant Dominic Witbooi 083 299 1680. Alternatively, Crime Stop can be contacted on 08600 10111. All information will be treated as highly confidential.
