Western Cape Police have launched a search for 14-year-old Mishanay Bernonique Jansen, who has been missing from Oudtshoorn since Sunday, February 16.

According to South African Police Services (SAPS) spokesperson Captain Louis Visser, Jansen was last seen in the town as she was getting into a car with two unknown men. The car was a bottle-green Volkswagen Jetta, and police suspect she may currently be in George.

Jansen’s family has said that the teen only has one kidney, and being in an unhygienic environment makes her very ill.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the Oudtshoorn police station and ask for Sergeant Thysse at 044 203 7500 or the Pink Ladies Organisation at 072 214 7439/ 083 378 4882.
