Parow police are asking the public to assist with any information they may have regarding a woman who is displaying COVID-19 symptoms. Ferica Sama (39) underwent testing to confirm whether she had the virus on April 5 at Karl Bremer Hospital.

According to South African Police Services (SAPS) spokesperson Captain Kevin Williams, Sama spent the night at the hospital awaiting her results after being tested there. Her results are still outstanding.

On the morning of Monday, April 6, a nurse contacted the Parow Police Station to inform them that Sama was nowhere to be found. Police officers paid a visit to her home in Parow, where they found out she had visited briefly and requested money from her husband.

Bellville SAPS were also notified of Sama moving in the area, and tracing to locate her is currently underway.

Anyone with any information on Sama’s whereabouts is urged to contact 021 929 700/021 929 7001/021 929 7037.
