The video, shared by renowned herpetologist Tyrone Ping of Herpetofauna of Southern Africa, narrates the tense moments as he approaches the snake while a small puppy reacts nervously to the unwelcome visitor.
In the gripping footage, Ping describes the scenario as he arrives to handle the situation, noting, ‘It’s just got to the house now, and, apparently, there is a large snake on this pillow, and that is a very upset puppy.’
As the puppy’s whines echo in the background, it quickly becomes evident that both animals the curious snake and startled canine are in a high-tension standoff.
