The arrest of a 35-year-old man who appeared to stand nervously next to a vehicle outside a house in Ruyterwacht led to a R5 million drug bust on Saturday evening, Cape {town} Etc reports.

Police members attached to Operation Lockdown III spotted the man while patrolling Zoetenal Street. The man was ‘standing next to a white Chevrolet Optra who appeared to be nervous when he saw the police vehicles,’ said SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
‘Acting on their instinct, the members searched the male and found drugs on him.’
The members then proceeded to search the house where the man was standing. There, they found more drugs – 87 058 mandrax tablets, a big bag containing unknown white tablets, two large pieces of rock cocaine and five big sachets containing crystal meth.
The total estimated street value of the drugs is R5 million.
The suspect will appear in the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court once he has been charged.
