Residents and motorists in Saldanha are advised of road closures in the area to accommodate the ongoing court proceedings in the Joshlin Smith case, Cape {town} Etc reports.
The proceedings are taking place at the Multipurpose Centre and are expected to continue daily from 3 March 2025 until approximately 28 March 2025.
To ensure security and manage traffic effectively, the following road closures will be in place:
- Corner of Saldanha Road and Diaz Road: Closed from 6am until court proceedings begin and again for one hour after proceedings conclude.
- Corner of Diaz Road and Trichardt Street: Closed from 6am until after court proceedings.
- Corner of Harder and Trichardt Street: Closed from 6am until after court proceedings.
- Corner of Diaz Road and Church Street: Closed from 6am until court proceedings begin and again for one hour after proceedings conclude.
Motorists are urged to plan their routes accordingly and use alternative roads where possible.
Authorities have advised that traffic disruptions may occur during this period, and residents should exercise patience when navigating the affected areas.
The public is also encouraged to stay updated on any changes to the road closures through official communication channels.
