South Africa’s flag illuminated the Matterhorn, a mountain in the Swiss Alps. According to Switzerland’s tourism page on Facebook, it projects a flag from a different country onto the mountain each evening in a show of solidarity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some of the flags it has projected include those of Singapore, Morocco, China, South Korea and Thailand.

The Matterhorn is located in the idyllic ski town of Zermatt, where light artist Gerry Hofstetter resides.
