Following an incident at the Silvermine Section of the Table Mountain National Park involving its Rangers and cyclist Nicholas Dlamini,  SANParks would like to place it on record that the matter is now under a full, independent investigation by McRoberts Attorneys.

The incident left locals horrified at the behaviour of Table Mountain National Park rangers after a video emerged showing them manhandling the top South African cyclist, who suffered a broken arm because of the assault.

According to SANParks Acting Head of Communications Rey Thakhuli, the matter is now subjudicae following the announcement by Mr Dlamini that he has appointed legal representation.

Thakhuli said media interactions will be limited as to allow the process to unfold without any hindrance that could undermine due process.

SANParks continues to wish Mr Dlamini a speedy recovery following a successful medical procedure this morning.
