Buckle up, motorists! The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) has announced that the toll fees are set to increase from March 1, 2022.
The tariffs have been adjusted following the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as obtained from Statistics South Africa, reports IOL.
According to Business Insider, the toll fees are one of South Africa’s theories, where the SA National Roads Agency will be claiming R17 billion directly from consumers over the next three years.
SANRAL general manager of communications, Vusi Mona, said toll monies were all used to maintain, operate, improve toll roads and settle debt with an aim to work on a toll road project, according to IOL.
