An investigation conducted by members attached to the Western Cape Anti-Corruption Unit resulted in the arrest of four police officers involved in a house robbery that occurred on 14 September, Cape {town} Etc reports.
On 14 September, at approximately 1:35am, a house robbery occurred at the premises in Sunset Avenue, Llandudno, which allegedly involved several police officers.

The case was reported to the Hout Bay SAPS and was later transferred to the Western Cape Anti-Corruption Unit for further investigation.
The investigation led to the arrest of the involved police members over a period of time, according to a SAPS press statement.
On 14 September, a 44-year-old sergeant was arrested at about 4pm at 35 Squadron, Belhar. At about 5:20pm on the same day, a 28-year-old constable was arrested at Gugulethu SAPS.
Both suspects appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on 17 September and the case was remanded to 23 September. The case was then subsequently postponed to 3 October for bail application.
Further investigations led to the arrest of a 33-year-old sergeant at Bellville SAPS on 19 September at 6:35pm.
The sergeant was detained at Wynberg SAPS, and he appeared at the Wynberg Magistrate Court on 23 September, along with the other two accused arrested that were on 14 September.
Earlier this morning at about 6:35am, Anti-Corruption Unit members arrested a 38-year-old sergeant at Philippi SAPS after the suspect was linked through fingerprints found at the crime scene.
The final suspect was detained at Wynberg SAPS police cells and he is due to appear at Wynberg Magistrate Court on 3 October with the other three previously arrested members.
Western Cape provincial commissioner Lieutenant General Thembisile Patekile has praised the investigation team for the arrests, adding that police officers are ‘supposed to uphold the law and protect the public’.
‘Let this serve as a warning to those who think they can abuse the resources of the state for their disgraceful purposes,’ said Patekile.
