The South African Police Service (SAPS) is currently investigating the triple murder of three unknown men in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein, that occurred early this morning, Cape {town} Etc reports.

The bodies of the victims were discovered at around 8:30am at a dam on a farm in Botfontein Road, with fatal injuries that were ‘reminiscent of an act of vigilantism’, according to a press statement issued by the SAPS.
An autopsy is yet to be performed by the Department of Health, which will determine the exact cause of death, Colonel Andrè Traut told Cape {town} Etc.
‘The investigation is still underway and the suspects are yet to be apprehended,’ said Traut.
‘The manner in which the victims were killed let us to believe that vigilantism was the motivating factor for the incident,’ Traut added.
Meanwhile, SAPS has encouraged anyone with information that might help assist the investigation to come forward.
Crime in Kraaifontein has also been exacerbated by delays in electricity maintenance being conducted in the area.
‘Shootings and attempted burglaries happen almost every night, and people live in constant fear,’ said community representative Gavin Riddles in regards to the community’s living without electricity last month.
However, the electricity supply to Northpine and Wallacedene was restored on Saturday afternoon, 26 October, according to Northern News.
The supply was also interrupted to Bothasig due to vandalism in the early hours of Saturday, according to Eskom.
