Officers stopped a white Toyota Fortuner at about 05:40 on Thursday and recovered a laptop, a phone and household items believed to be stolen during the break-ins, provincial police said.

SAPS spokesperson Constable Ndakhe Gwala said, ‘They pulled over a white Toyota Fortuner with three male occupants.’ The three suspects face charges of possession of stolen property and housebreaking and are due to appear in the Simonstown Magistrate’s Court as enquiries continue (VOC).
In a separate incident, Kleinvlei SAPS arrested a 45-year-old, alleged gang-affiliated man after community members reported he had pointed a firearm in Park Street, Spandua, Eersteriver.
Police searched a white Toyota Quantum and seized a 9 mm pistol with 32 rounds of ammunition; the suspect is expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court.
Residents told local reporters they feel relieved the arrests followed swift police action, but many urged ongoing patrols and closer station engagement to prevent repeat incidents.
Police asked anyone with information to contact their nearest station to support ongoing enquiries.
