The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has publicised its payment dates for December 2024, a decision which heavily influences its 27 million social welfare beneficiaries, reports Cape {town} Etc.

As the festive season approaches, the 27 million grant recipients are set to receive their monthly stipends during the first week of December.
The government agency has urged those affected to take note of the dates to ensure that they receive their payments in a timely manner.
According to the agency, the Older Persons Grant may be collected as of Wednesday, December 3, while the Disability Grant may be collected on Thursday, December 4 and the Children’s Grant the day thereafter.
As it stands, the stipend for Older Persons (aged between 60 – 75 years), Disability and the Care Dependency Grants, amount to R2190.
Persons older than 75 years of age and war veterans receive an amount of R2210.
The Foster Care Grant amounts to R1180, while the Child Support Grant is currently R530 per month.
SASSA has further warned beneficiaries to ignore widespread misinformation regarding the changing of payment dates and to ensure that their information is up-to-date.
