The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow level 1 warning for today until tomorrow, for damaging winds in the Western Cape and Namaqua, between Alexander Bay and Cape Point, Cape {town} Etc reports.

The south Atlantic high pressure is expected along the south-western areas of South Africa, resulting in south to south-eastern winds, expected to be 40-60kph, gusting at 65 to 75kph.
In addition, wave lengths are predicted to be 3.5 to 4.5m throughout the duration, which will result in ‘rough and choppy seas’.
This will impact navigation at sea for small vessels and personal watercraft, as well as the disruption of small harbours and beachfront activities.
