Following the raging blaze that set Signal Hill and Lion’s Head alight this past Sunday, the Sea Point Swimming Pool has been closed due to high levels of ash deposits currently affecting the water.
The City’s Recreation and Parks Department has closed the pool until further notice while they continue to sweep and clean it, ensuring the water is safe for the public.
The pool will be reopened once there are no health risks or safety hazards present and the water quality is back in check.
The City has apologised for any inconvenience caused at this time.
