A search operation has reportedly been launched to find a 69-year old regular hiker who went missing on Sunday, March 21 in Cape Town.
According to News24, the man, identified as Michael Riley, went missing in the Silver Dam area. Table Mountain National Park said, following the incident, Silver Dam will be closed until further notice.
This comes a few days after a 66-year old woman, Erna Gericke was reportedly found dead on a hiking trail in Barrydale.
Western Cape police found her badly injured body about 6km into the trail.
