A security guard was killed during an armed robbery on the morning of Saturday, February 22, at the popular photography store Orms in the city centre.
SAPS confirmed today that four armed men entered the store off Roeland Street and forced everyone inside to lie on the floor. It is unclear how much of money they stole. They also made off with an undisclosed amount of equipment from the store.
The suspects also fired a shot and killed a 55-year-old security guard on duty. The guard’s firearm was stolen during the robbery.
