This November, Cape Town will host The Earthshot Prize, bringing together some of the world’s most influential artists, athletes, musicians, and advocates to highlight groundbreaking environmental solutions aimed at repairing and regenerating our planet, reports Cape {town} Etc.

From November 4–7, Earthshot Week will celebrate the 15 Earthshot Prize Finalists and showcase inspiring climate innovations across Africa.
The week will culminate with the annual awards on November 6, where five finalists will each receive a £1 million award to enhance their impact and scale their solutions.
Actor and humanitarian Nomzamo Mbatha will host Earthshot Week, joined by fellow Global Ambassador Robert Irwin.
Together, they will lead thought leadership events and dialogues that connect current and former Earthshot Prize Finalists with influential environmental champions to support and accelerate their scaling journeys.
The fourth annual Earthshot Prize Awards will be hosted by Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Billy Porter and television presenter Bonang Matheba.
The event will feature storytelling and musical performances to celebrate global environmental innovators and showcase creativity from across Africa.
The broadcast will showcase the stories of Earthshot Prize Finalists and Winners, along with special performances from notable artists across Africa, including Grammy-nominated Davido, internationally renowned Diamond Platnumz, Tony Award nominee Lebo M, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, and headlining DJ Uncle Waffles.
Supermodel and television host Heidi Klum, actor and activist Nina Dobrev, multi-hyphenate artist and actor Tobe Nwigwe, and supermodel and beauty entrepreneur Winnie Harlow will join the broadcast to announce the five Prize Winners from each Earthshot category, which correspond to critical environmental goals we must meet within this decade.
The five ‘Earthshots’ are: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build A Waste-Free World, and Fix Our Climate.

The Earthshot Prize Awards will reach millions of viewers across 50 African markets, supported by Global Alliance Partner MultiChoice, and will be livestreamed globally on YouTube.
A special green carpet pre-show, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Moozlie, will also be available on The Earthshot Prize’s YouTube channel.

With a reach across over 50 countries, MultiChoice aims to share the message of urgent optimism.
This year, more than 400 African-based solutions were nominated, highlighting the innovation in local communities. Masilela emphasized the urgency of fostering a sustainable future, especially as the region faces significant climate challenges.
Founded by Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize serves as a global platform to identify and support the best environmental solutions.
Since its inception, 60 solutions have been recognized as Finalists and Winners, with over 2500 introduced through a network of more than 400 Official Nominators.
The Prize has facilitated over £75 million in support for these initiatives and aims to enhance investment for emerging solutions.
Finalists and Winners receive mentorship, resources, and technical support through the year-long Earthshot Prize Fellowship Programme, which connects them to a robust network of influential businesses, investors, and climate experts within the Global Alliance of Partners.
