An arrest has been made after a shooting incident outside Cape Town International Airport on Saturday morning. According to a report by EWN, the airports operations centre were alerted to a group of thieves snatching passenger’s bags outside the airport precent.
Police and airport security were deployed to investigate and shots were fired on the elevated freeway. No injuries were reported following the shooting.
One person was arrested and details of the incident are still sketchy. A section of the highway leading to the airport was closed off earlier, but airport operations were unaffected.
Police are still investigating the incident.
