Gordon’s Bay SAPS are looking for assistance to identify a skull discovered at the popular Kogel Bay campsite. Police released a reconstructed identikit of the young woman, who they believe was aged between 15 and 19 years at the time of death.

The skull was discovered at the campsite, located near the R44, on July 3. Police spokesperson Colonel André Traut said the Criminal Record Centre assisted in creating a sketch of the young woman the skull may have belonged to. The shocking discovery was made by Edwina Hadfield of the Gordon’s Bay Residents Association.

“The post-mortem has indicated that the victim is a white female estimated between the ages of 15 and 19,” Traut told IOL.
