The bunny chow made history in Centurion on Friday as South Africa secured a Guinness World Record for the world’s longest version of the dish at Bhai’s Lounge Banqueting Hall, Cape {town} Etc reports.
According to the African News Agency, the final bunny chow measured 15.98 metres and was completed by Fire Water Earth Productions in partnership with Bhai’s Lounge, with Guinness World Records representative Mbali Nkosi on site to verify the attempt.

Officials from Tshwane Municipality monitored health and safety throughout, and organisers said the work needed exact coordination from start to finish. ‘This project demanded precision at every stage,’ one team member said.
More than 100 people attended the event, turning the attempt into a community celebration as family, friends and supporters watched the dish take shape.
Nkosi said, ‘This was a carefully monitored attempt from start to finish,’ as the team celebrated a moment that placed one of South Africa’s best-known dishes globally.
