The South African Weather Services (SAWS) issued a yellow level 1 warning for ‘damaging interior winds’ on Tuesday evening, which can lead to localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes, Cape {town} Etc reports.
This is expected over southern Namakwa in the Northern Cape and the Central Karoo district in the Western Cape.

Other ‘impact-based’ warnings have also been issued for various areas, as reported by the George Herald.
A yellow level 3 warning for ‘damaging waves’ that can lead to the disruption of small harbours and ports has been issued, with the areas between Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay being most affected on Tuesday evening through to Thursday this week.
For Wednesday, a yellow level 1 warning for damaging winds leading to ‘difficulty in navigation at sea’, has been issued.
