Fashion Week Studio hosted an extraordinary evening dedicated to global fashion. The well-curated runway show, featured the unique collections of a wide range of international designers. Collections all the way from South Africa were displayed alongside collections from France, India, Australia, USA and Ecuador, Cape {town} Etc reports.

The event was hosted at the prestigious Hôtel Le Marois in Paris, a venue with a history of hosting iconic events for designer brands such as Balmain, Dior, Chanel and Prada.
Attendees included notable ambassadors and popular influencers amongst other distinguished guests.
Representing South Africa, House of Decorum unveiled its bespoke African inspired collection, called I’dlozi lethu.
The collection payed homage to the ancestral heritage of the brand while representing the sartorial culture of African forefathers embraced back in the SophiaTown days.
Each piece featured in the collection was handmade and focused on showcasing unstructured shoulders, unlined jackets and clean silhouettes.
The show kicked off with a video of South African landscapes which included the Kgalagadi, the liqwa and the Drakensburg. Played over the beautiful scenery was the sound former President Thabo Mbeki’s ‘I am an African’ speech.
Lizah Chanda Crochet, another South African brand, also held its own on the international runway. Lizah’s collection paid homage to the rich South African heritage of crocheting, reinventing this traditional art form with modern flair. The show served as an ode to the art of crochet as designs featured crochet pieces and a standout design which incorporated delicate feathers.
