In December 2020 the renowned Restaurant Mosaic at The Orient Hotel, headed by the talented Chef Chantel Dartnall, announced that will be closing its doors for good as Chef Dartnall has decided to embark on a new journey in her life.

Restaurant Mosaic, just outside Pretoria, has wowed local and international diners for the last 15 years since it opened in 2006, but now that time has come to end. As the establishment approaches the end of its final chapter, one question remained, what will happen to its extensive wine collection?

Well, it looks like we finally have an answer to that burning question. Restaurant Mosaic recently took to social media to announce that the legendary collection of wine will officially go up for sale from 29 March 2021 through fine wine importer and distributor, Great Domaines. A company that has built a reputation on importing and distributing fine European wines.

The Restaurant Mosaic wine cellar is home to around 85 000 bottles of the finest wines under 5 500 labels, and now you have the chance to add one of these fine wines to your very own collection.

“We’re excited to share the legacy of the Restaurant Mosaic wine cellar with Oenophile’s who will now be able to have the opportunity to buy some of their favourite wines and enjoy them at leisure at home,” said Chef Dartnall.
