Southern Sun The Cullinan, a renowned hotel in Cape Town’s city centre, has reopened following a comprehensive refurbishment.

The interior design has been significantly revamped, merging classical elements with contemporary touches while preserving the iconic lobby pillars.
The conference areas now boast state-of-the-art technology, including built-in WiFi speakers and individual plug points for each delegate.

The hotel’s dining options have also been upgraded, with the Peach Tree restaurant introducing a live cooking grill, adding an interactive aspect to the dining experience. And the menu now features South African dishes with unique twists.
The pool deck has been updated with a patio that includes a built-in braai and pizza oven for intimate gatherings.
The Cullinan’s rooms have undergone a complete soft refurbishment. Each room now features advanced smart TVs, individual WiFi access points and updated dimmable lighting.
Modern conveniences such as USB and USB-C ports, alongside standard plugs, are installed on both sides of the beds. The bathrooms now include illuminated mirrors. Additionally, the infrastructure has seen improvements with updated air conditioning systems and optimised water temperature control.
Significant behind-the-scenes upgrades include new heat pumps, central air conditioning units and hot-water tanks.
