Acting Government Spokesperson Nomonde Mnukwa praised the team’s journey, stating, ‘Government encourages all South Africans to unite behind the team and celebrate how far they have come. Their courage, determination and resilience have inspired the nation and demonstrated that South Africa can compete with the very best on the global stage,’
With such a pivotal match ahead, her words resonate deeply, inviting the country to embrace the spirit of unity and pride.
The call for support goes beyond mere words. Mnukwa urged fans to showcase their allegiance by donning Banyana Banyana jerseys, national colors, or other South African symbols, whether at home, at work, or in public gatherings. ‘Let us rally behind the National Women’s team as they continue to make South Africa proud,’ she asserted.
Deputy Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Peace Mabe, echoed Mnukwa’s sentiments, reinforcing the importance of collective support in this critical phase of the tournament.
