The Springboks kicked off their Rugby Championship campaign with a 32-12 victory against Argentina on Saturday, August 14. The Boks went into the game following their series victory against the British & Irish Lions last Saturday at the Cape Town Stadium.

Three tries from Aphelele Fassi, scrumhalf Cobus Reinach and the debutant Jaden Hendricks secured a victory for the Boks, who will play in Buenos Aires against Argentina next week before they face Australia and New Zealand. Elton Jantjies also added five penalties.

Meanwhile, New Zealand punished an error-filled performance from the Wallabies and scored 57 to 22 points in their Rugby Championship opener in Auckland on Saturday.
