If you thought Takealot pick-up service in Cape Town is fast, it’s about to be faster. This comes after the online retail store recently launched their new flagship collection point in Richmond Park, Milnerton.
This new pick-up point is well-advanced as it is equipped with technological equipment such as automated guided vehicles (AGV) Weasel to ensure that customers have a smooth collection experience. To make things even better, this service is free of charge for standard and next day collections.
The pick up point also boasts the latest in distribution centre technology and innovation such as advanced sign-in, name recognition, and hassle-free returns that can be done quicker with more convenience for customers as per Retail Brief Africa.
The company stated that with the support of AGVs, Takealot staff are able to offer an even quicker, yet still personal collection experience. “With an average collection time of just three minutes, these ‘little robot helpers’ guarantee safe transport of packages from behind the scene into shoppers’ hands,” they said.
The company stated that AGVs have become a key component of logistics chains at Richmond Park, providing a fully-automated experience to inject an element of fun and innovation into the collection experience, while at the same time boosting productivity as per Bizcommunity
The new Pickup Point can be found at 1A Hansen Close, Richmond Park, Cape Town.
