The 19-year-old teenager who has been accused of fatally attacking Stellenbosch student, Jesse Mitchell, appeared in court on Monday, 21 October.
In the Stellenbosch Magistrate’s Court, the teenager allegedly abandoned his bail application, Cape {town} Etc reports.

Hufke reportedly attacked Mitchell, a first-year Bsc student, after taking possession of his bicycle, phone and backpack. After the robbery, Mitchell was stabbed in the neck on Borcherd Street in Stellenbosch Central.
Hufke appeared in court earlier today, where he abandoned his bid for bail.
News24 reported that the magistrate granted media representatives permission to take photos of the accused and it was further reported that Hufke appeared visibly annoyed by the court procedures.
Hufke is set to remain in custody until 27 November, while the case is further investigated.
Another three suspects were arrested in relation to the attack last week and the trio is set to appear in court once charged, claims the Daily Voice.
