A 15-year-old boy was reportedly shot and fatally wounded at a petrol station on Links Street in Macassar on Monday, February 15.

The South African Police Service’s spokesperson Noloyiso Rwezana said police officers were at the petrol station when the incident occurred. It is alleged that the boy got into an argument with an older man, who retaliated by shooting him.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and will appear in the Somerset West Magistrates Court on charges of murder on Wednesday, February 17.
