A toddler tragically died in a horrifying vehicle collision on the N7 near Malmesbury on Saturday. According to Netcare 911, the two-year-old died when a bakkie collided with a car just past the town.
Speaking to IOL, Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said that the toddler was declared dead on the scene after assessments by paramedics.
“The parents of the child, an adult female sustained moderate injuries and an adult male sustained minor injuries,” Herbst said.
Once they had been assessed and stabilised, the patients were transported to hospital via ambulance for further treatment.
The circumstances that led to the occurrence of the crash are currently under investigation by police.
