The Tomorrowland Foundation, in collaboration with the Langrug Community Centre, will be officially opening its Music & Arts School on Wednesday, 29 April 2026. The school will offer a creative space for over 600 children and youngsters to learn music, dance, and visual arts.
Located in the Langrug community just outside of Franschhoek, this new school is the fourth branch from the Tomorrowland Foundation, following successful openings in Nepal, India, and Brazil.
The 400-square-meter facility is the first Music & Arts School from the Foundation in Africa. The state-of-the-art school is built with modular units and includes fully equipped spaces and classrooms across two floors, giving children the resources they need to learn in the performing and visual arts.
The facility will function as an after-school programme for local students aged six to 16, with lessons supported by a devoted team of teachers and professionals from the Langrug Community Centre. These include:
- Janet Johnson (Founder and Coordinator)
- Nasiphi Notoza (Tour and Administration Manager)
- Bhura Balangile (Feeding Scheme Coordinator)
- Kathleen Aerts (Belgian singer and presenter; international ambassador)
- Steven van Hoof (International ambassador)

The school will not only support the kids, but the Langrug community at large, creating opportunities for the youth while also contributing to the community development.
The long-term goal of this expansion is to assist kids not just in their early years but also as they grow into resilient, self-assured, and creative adults. The school will provide children and young people with a space where they are seen, heard, and inspired to dream beyond the constraints of their everyday situations through music and the arts.
The official opening of the Tomorrowland Foundation Music & Arts School will take place at the Langrug Community Centre, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will involve performances from the local youth.
