There has been a major accident between Kloofnek Road & Burnside Road, Gardens this evening, injuring nine people, Cape {town} Etc reports.

Road users are advised to avoid the area, and give way to emergency vehicles trying to respond.
A cement truck lost control coming down Kloof Nek Road and collided with approximately 17 vehicles before hitting the wall of a building and coming to a stop.
All emergency services are on scene.
It is reported that nine people have been injured from light to severe injuries and have been taken to local hospitals.
Kloof Nek Road is closed from Upper Buitengracht to Belle Ombre.
