Motorists are advised to expect delays along the M3 North as a result of protest action at the entrance of the University of Cape Town (UCT) in Rondebosch, reports Cape {town} Etc.
According to community newsgroups, there are rocks in the roadway.
After initially closing the entrances to UCT upper campus, traffic officers have reopened both the north and south entrances and are assisting vehicles back onto the M3.
At this stage, it is believed that students are protesting ‘against fee blocks that are preventing them from registering because of outstanding debt’.
