A devastating accident unfolded at Voelklip in Herold’s Bay, where a vehicle careened off the notorious cliffside road.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene, where rescue divers discovered a woman’s body in the wreckage below, as first reported by the George Herald.
Authorities are now working on the challenging task of retrieving the body, with efforts underway to determine the safest approach.
The area has gained a tragic reputation for similar incidents in recent years, sparking concerns over road safety in the region.
