The Bishop Lavis Magistrate’s Court sentenced 29-year-old Enrico Slawers to 57 years in jail after he was convicted of a brutal triple murder in 2022, reports Cape {town} Etc.

Slawers, a known hitman associated with gang-related activity in the area, entered a plea agreement with the state and was sentenced on Wednesday.
Slawers was convicted of shooting three people on 30 November 2022.

The victims, whose names have not been made public, were seated on a property in Bishop Lavis when Slawers arrived and opened fire.
Each victim received numerous gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency personnel.
Slawers was sentenced to 15 years in jail for each murder, as well as an additional 10 years for unlawful firearm possession and two years for ammunition possession.
These sentences will run consecutively, totalling 57 years behind bars.
Western Cape Provincial Commissioner General Thembisile Patekile praised the Anti-Gang Unit for their comprehensive investigation, which resulted in Slawers’ arrest in Botrivier shortly after the murders occurred.
