Lekker local health franchise Kauai has relaunched its subscription service and we’re buzzing. For R149 per month, members will be able to get two coffees a day for this flat monthly fee. We’ve emphasised the coffee (because Capetonians and coffee) but the deal includes any small hot drink on the menu.
Adding to the vibe is free milk alternatives, including variations like almond and oat. Dairy-free milk is usually an expensive addition to your morning brew in the Mother city. Prices range anywhere between R5 and R15 extra, so this deal is seriously sweet.
If you maximise this offer and get your two cuppas per day, you’ll be paying R2.50 per drink. An Americano with regular milk sells for R28. Essentially this means that you’ll be making your money back in less than a week.
If you really want to milk this deal, order something snooty — like a latte — with a milk alternative. This would usually cost R42 at Kauai. Make use of this deal and you’ll be getting money back in just two days.
Kauai has reintroduced its subscription initiative after a successful summer smoothie run. And just in time for the chilly weather.
