Uber is set to enhance its ‘Go Anywhere’ travel series with the launch of Uber Safari, an exciting day trip option for those looking to embark on an African safari adventure in Cape Town, Cape {town} Etc reports.

This exclusive offering, developed in collaboration with Aquila Private Game Reserve, allows travellers to book an affordable safari experience directly through the Uber app.
Johan van Schalkwyk, Commercial Officer of Aquila Collection, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, ‘We’re thrilled to collaborate with Uber to bring our bucket list wildlife experiences to their customers. Uber Safari promises an unforgettable day at Aquila, where guests will experience the Big Five in a convenient and luxurious manner.’

The full-day safari begins with a pickup in Cape Town using an Uber Safari-branded vehicle. Guests will be welcomed with breakfast and a toast upon arrival at Aquila. Following this, they will board a traditional safari vehicle accompanied by experienced game rangers and guides, setting off to spot iconic wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos.
The experience includes a delicious lunch and access to the beautiful grounds of Aquila before returning to Cape Town. Frans Hiemstra, Regional General Manager of Uber in the Middle East and Africa, noted, ‘With Uber Safari, we’re making it easier than ever to unlock an iconic South African wildlife experience.’
Reservations for Uber Safari will open in the app on 2 October and can be booked from 24 hours to 90 days in advance. The safari will be available on Fridays and Saturdays until 1 February, with a flat fee of $200 (R3 456.73) and accommodation for up to four guests.
