Videos of violence between two rival gangs in Hanover Park on the Cape Flats are doing the rounds on social media.
In the videos, alleged gang members can be seen throwing bricks at each other while residents watch. Officers of the City’s Law Enforcement can also be seen in the area, however alleged gang members just continue with their business.
According to IOL, the latest shooting incident comes after gang-related chaos broke out in the area on Saturday.
Police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding Monday’s shooting incident where a 35-year-old man was fatally wounded during a shootout in Surwood Walk.

Meanwhile, Delft detectives have also launched a manhunt for gunmen following an incident where three men were shot and killed in Delft South on Sunday, 3 April.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa, officers were called out to the Jerusalem informal settlement in Delft South where they found three men, between the ages of 22 and 33 years old with gunshot wounds. The victims were declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
“Reports allege that the yet-to-be-identified gunmen opened fire on the three victims and fled. The motive for the shooting incident is yet to be determined,” Potelwa said.
Potelwa further indicated that anyone with information that could assist the police investigation is urged to contact the Crime Stop number 08600 10111.
