The massive taxi strike and protests in Cape Town have resulted in utter chaos on the roads. Bricks have taken flight, taxis are blocking on and off-ramps and busses have been torched, to name just some of the unrest’s actions.
Warnings of peaceful protests were issued last night but have taken effect in the opposite manner. The government has since slammed the two main taxi associations, CATA and CODETA for not adhering to what they initially proposed.
